2019 Boys Summer League: in 2015 we offered a competitive Summer League for middle school boys to develop, have fun and learn. From that Legends Summer League many High School Team starters in the Napa Valley and beyond got their start! In 2019 we are offering Summer Teams for boys in 5th, 6th & 7th grade in Teams formed on skill level and potential.
PRACTICE & GAMES: Practice will be 3 x a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 6pm-7:30pm at Grace Church gym and or Napa Valley College gym starting June 17 and ending August 9. We have developed this 3 day practice format and curriculum that enables enough time for skill training, game play and conditioning with a day off in-between as optimum for player development. Two Tourneys per month of the 8 week program, with 2-3 games per Tourney will be provided for a total of 4 Tourneys (Saturday only).
TEAMS: Depending on how many Teams are formed we will host local AAU Tourneys (based on 4 Legends Teams) or participate in local area Tourneys in the SF Bay Area to challenge our players (1-2-3 Teams). Teams will have a minimum of 10 players and a max of 12, and be based on a balance of skills of all players.
GOALS: The Summer Team program is focused on fundamentals, teamwork, skills (shooting, dribbling, passing, footwork, rebounding, defensive and offensive movement), and fun! We will also provide basketball conditioning during practice to improve player fitness!
COACHES: Our Coaches have a reputation as being great teachers and connecting with your players, passing their passion of basketball on and all have College level experience and Coaching success. We are very selective who we assign as Coaches! Each Team will have two Coaches so maximum Coaching contact, attention and instruction is increased per player! Coaches are trained for a variety of learning styles.
PLAYER INVITE & REFERRALS: We seek players who possess the goal of playing for their High School, look to improve their game skills, expand their knowledge of game plays and strategy, increase their basketball conditioning and strength, teamwork and are committed to learn, work hard and have fun in a challenging but positive environment. We encourage players and families to invite and refer former teammates and friends to make it more fun and it helps with team chemistry!
COSTS: Team Fee per player is $550 as a one time payment in full upon the first Skill Assessment or two payments of $275, the first being due at the 1st Skill Assessment in June and the 2nd payment being due on July 15. Sibling discounts are available upon request by marking the Player Registration Form. Team Fee payments, in cash or check/s are to be made separately than the checks for uniform payment, as not all players need a uniform due to our high rate of returning Alumni players. Checks should be made out to "Legends Hoops" with the player's name and Season on the check.
Program News & Updates will be posted first on our Facebook page, click on the Facebook page (F) link in the above right corner and Follow Us! Thanks!
